Ecumenism
We are the OTJ Knights Templar Grand Priory of All Britain (for Wales, for England, for Scotland and for Northern Ireland). OTJ stands for the Order of the Temple of Jerusalem ("Ordre du Temple de Jérusalem").
We are a Christian (Orthodox, Protestant, Roman Catholic, Anglican and Pentecostal) fraternal and chivalric Order. Our Order has no Masonic or political affiliations.
We are occasionally referred to as the OSMTJ Knights Templar Grand Priory of All Britain (for Wales, for England, for Scotland and for Northern Ireland). OSMTJ stands for the French, “Ordre Souverain et Militaire du Temple de Jérusalem” (The Sovereign and Military Order of the Temple of Jerusalem).
We are ecumenical and by this we mean that we are not affiliated to any single Christian denomination but seek to represent all Christians in accord with Jesus’ prayer to the Father concerning his followers:
“That they may all be one :
so that the world will believe that you sent me”
(John 17: 20-21).
