Hereford Cathedral
We have a special connection with Herefordshire and, in particular, with Hereford Cathedral because, a certain Thomas Cantilupe (then Chancellor of England in the reign of Edward I) was consecrated as Bishop of Hereford in 1215.
Thomas Cantilupe was also a Provincial Grand Master of the Order of the Temple of Jerusalem.
On 17th April 1320 he was canonised by Pope John XXII as St Thomas Cantilupe.
As far as we are aware he is the only canonised Saint in the Order. Consequently every year we have a pilgrimage to his Shrine and occasionally an Investiture. The next such event will be in May and Members of the Order will be notified of the details in due course. Any member of the public who would like to be invited should apply via our 'Contact Us' page.
Below are the details of previous events we've held or attended at the Cathedral.
