Obituary : 30 January 2024

Peter Robinson

OTJ - Peter Robinson
11 June 1940 - 30 January 2024

Peter died peacefully at home in Newport on Tuesday 30 January 2024.
He leaves his wife, Jen, their two daughters, Michaela-Jane and Samantha-Anne, and the wider family, in the merciful Love and Care of Our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Peter and Jen first began their association with the Grand Priory of Wales in 2015 when we held our very first Investiture at Newport Cathedral where they had, for many years been regular members of the congregation and had been in charge of the bookshop.

Together Peter and Jen became the first members of our supporting group,
The Guild of St Thomas Cantilupe.

In recognition of their service to the Order, the Grand Prior of All Britain has appointed Jen to be an Honorary Dame as from the date of Peter's funeral - Monday 18 March 2024.

Peter's Funeral Service within the Holy Eucharist, at the Cathedral Church of St Woolos, Newport, south Wales, was attended by a congregation of about 200 people, including the Grand Prior and his wife (the Warden of the Guild of St Thomas Cantilupe).
The Service was led by the Dean
The Very Reverend Ian Black.

Peter's "Promotion to Glory" means that he will be sadly missed by us all.

May he Rest in Peace and Rise in Glory

Peter Robinson Esquire.
(Member of the Guild of St Thomas Cantilupe : Knights Templar of the Order of the Temple of Jerusalem)

In memoria aeterna erit iustus.
Requiem aeternam dona eis, Domine,
et lux perpetua luceat eis.

The just shall be in everlasting remembrance.
Grant them eternal rest, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon them.
